SS008 Astec 400 TON SILO SYSTEM

400 TON SILO SYSTEM

ASTEC 400 Ton Silo System. There is a third silo old style Astec that can be purchased for an additional cost.

This silo system consists of a Astec main drag slat conveyor, two 200-ton silos,
and a bin-top conveyor. This Early 80’s Astec drag slat conveyor is rated at a nominal
capacity of 400 tph. The box is 93’ long, with 36″ wide slats 38” wide and 36” deep. It has sidewalls constructed
of cold cambered bridge beams with a sub floor supporting 1” thick replaceable nihard castings.
There is a free floating hot oil piping system attached to the sub floor held by brackets and
covered by insulation and metal covers. Light and heat retentive marine grade plywood provides
the top covers. The double strand 6” pitch roller chain is in good condition. The 75 HP motor and the
gear reducer is mounted. There are sliding bearings on the sidewalls, which allow the slats to
move up and over any obstructions. A stairway is attached to the left side of the conveyor.
The nihard floor, slats, and sliding bearings, all appear to be in very good condition. The chain has ~70% life remaining. The slat has a mix reject system.

The first silo is a Astec complete with an enclosed anti-segregation batcher to
reduce the incidence of mix segregation. The silo is insulated and has a galvanized wrapper.
It is equipped with high and low level indicators. Mix is discharged through a single gate. The drive through is 12’ wide.

The second silo is a Astec complete with anti-segregation batcher and clamshell discharge gates and long-term storage gates.
Both silos have the full skirt design. The silo is insulated and has a galvanized wrapper.
It is equipped with high and low level indicators.
The cone has hot oil heat. The drive through is 12’ wide.
The stationary drag slat bin-top conveyor has a double chain and is driven by a 25 hp motor.
Both the silo’s have oil heated cones with oil gates for over nite storage. Both the silo’s have ceramic lined cones.

The system has manual controls ( No computer)

The silo package is down on the ground and ready for loading. If the crane is on site loading can be offered. The system is in good repair except the slat will need a new tail shaft.
